What happens during a data logger install?

The installation of a SUMS data logger is non-invasive and will not impact the supply of water.

Generally, the installation will take no longer than 25 minutes and consists of inserting a probe into the water meter, connecting it to the data logger and securing the data logger to the water meter. View an example of how easily and non-invasively a SUMS data logger is installed.

There will be no interruption to any water supply, the water meter will not need to be turned off for the installation to be completed.

SUMS will revisit the site within a 2- 4 week period from the install date, to perform a meter read so that the data can be validated (or we may ask you to take a photo of the water meter dial face and send it to us).
